The Parish Council has 11 members working as a team to represent both wards. They are working in a voluntary role to do their best for you and you are encouraged & welcome to contact them or meet them at any the regular meetings held during the year.

The role of a Councillor is a voluntary role with the option to claim an allowance, applicable only to elected members, as set by the parish council on an annual basis.

Travel allowances for parish purposes are recommended as a maximum of 45p per mile for the first 10,000 miles (25p per mile thereafter) regardless of vehicle engine size, 24p per mile for motor cycles and 20p per mile for travel by cycle.
Maximum rates of subsistence: maximum rates for breakfast is £6.00, lunch allowance £7.50 and evening meal £12.00.

Bill Davidson – Parish Council Chairman Parkeston Ward (District Councillor – Dovercourt Vines & Parkeston)
Bill continues to hold the position as Chair after being elected to the role on 13 May 2021 and again in May 2023. Bill is also Tree and Footpath Warden for Parkeston Ward, and leads on the refurbishment and upkeep of the Parish Chapel and the Parkeston Cemetery. He also oversees the running & maintenance of the Welfare Park in a voluntary role.

Co-opted to the council in September 2019, I moved from Ramsey to Little Oakley as a child, but spent most of my childhood in Ramsey and still have fond affection for the village and surrounding area.
